When you’ve already won the hearts and minds of small-business owners and operators with a value- and performance-loaded pickup like the Ram 1500 Tradesman, where do you go from there? How about expanding on that success?
That’s exactly what Ram truck has done for 2012 with the introduction on March 6th of the Ram 1500 Tradesman Crew Cab and Quad Cab models at the National Truck Equipment Association Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.
“From the moment we launched the truck, the Ram 1500 Tradesman was a hit,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO, Ram Truck Brand. “Our new four-door Ram Tradesman models offer the pickup segment’s best combination of room for six hard-working adults, V-8 capability and value.”
That V-8 capability is offered in the standard 4.7-liter V-8 FFV engine that delivers 20 mpg EPA highway with 310 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. Or, customers can choose a power “boost” with the optional 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with 390 horsepower and 407 pound-feet of torque. Of course, best-in-class towing a payload is a given with Tradesman. Of course, best-in-class towing and payload are a big part of the Tradesman performance story.
The Ram Tradesman value story is reflected in the no-charge RamBox lockable storage system on every 4.7-liter model, a fully warrantied factory-equipped spray-in bedliner and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Add to this a segment-leading five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, in-floor storage on crew cab models, forward-opening doors on Quad Cab, AND a price reduction on the regular cab Tradesman with 4.7-liter engine to $22,370 and you might think that’s everything. But you’d be wrong. Click for much more on the Ram Tradesman value and performance story.
